Everett has grown up quite a lot since Hawaii too. His vocabulary is taking off and he is saying words and sentences very clearly, e-nun-ciating more tricky pronunciations. He is not hesitant to correct you if you mispronounce a word. He is currently working on his L’s, as he pronounces them more like W’s right now.
Because he got to pee in the grass last time, he thought it’d be a great idea to do it again. I stressed to him that in no way were we going to go home if he got his pants wet. Last time he had a meltdown because he peed his pants while peeing in the grass. He surprised me as said, “Ok. I understand.” Where did he learn “understand” from?!
Everett loves reading books. At bedtime, we would read some four to five books, and more if we didn’t cut it short because Everett was dragging out the evening. We’d sometimes read books too in the mornings, and before naps if he does take naps. He’s had several favorite books over time. One of the most famous was the Paw Patrols storybook we got for him in Kauai. Now, he really lives a couple of library books Follow the Trail Baby Dinosaurs, Five Little Monkeys, and You Are My Sunshine. Here he is reading / singing You Are My Sunshine.
