We had a family get together for my dad’s 75th birthday last weekend.
A tradition that has always been important to my dad is visiting the cemetery whenever our family gets together, taking time to pay our respects to our ancestors.
Now all the cousins are grown, with families of our own. It strikes me that our kids are now the same age when I can remember my brother and I driving down to Calgary, and with our cousins Doris and Herrick pay our respects at the cemetery.
A delicious Chinese food meal always follows such a get together.
