So we’ve started the dreaded potty training three days ago after going to Walmart to pick out a potty and underwear with Everett. We decided to start here in Hawaii since we will be outside alot, it’s summer time so less clothing on and if there are accidents it won’t be on our new floors at home! Everett seems to be ready and being that he is 28 months old now I think he is ready.
We bought a frog potty that Everett helped choose and paw patrol underwear that he held onto from the store until arriving back at our condo. He loves anything paw patrol.
We started 2 days ago. We bribed him with paw patrol characters as the reward for pooing or peeing on the potty.
Everett’s bowel routine is usually predictable. He always goes in the morning after breakfast. He has started to hide and want privacy when he does his business. We watched him very closely and pounced on the opportunity. The first morning we were surprised that he did a poop and a pee in his new potty! Such a smart Bean! We were so excited for him. He was so happy to get his rewards (rubble and rocky dog). We give him 1 thing every time he goes on the potty.
On Day 2 Everett poops in the potty again! We give him the Chase dog as reward and he is excited again. Progress! So proud of my little Bean. Hopefully he can keep this up once he has collected all the dogs I brought along. I’m so happy to have less poopy diapers to change. He is enjoying playing with his new toys as they are the only toys he has to play with here other than a ball and a pail and shovel for the beach.
We shall see what tomorrow will bring…..my fingers are crossed. He seems to be understanding what he needs to do. Such a smart little boy.
