It was a big disappointment for me to lose the use of Happy SEES on the third season. It was a tense struggle right up until the moment of resignation in December when it became apparent that she would not be able to splash, and would have to be winterized until spring.
With the time off, our good friends on Lionfish offered up their house in Florida for us to stay in. It was a nice consolatory break, since I already had the time booked off and it would be too depressing to spend that time holed up inside back in the Alberta cold.
In contrast, Florida was just right, good weather just before the heat of the summer. We passed the days just hanging out at the house, with the occasional road trip to Mardi Gras, to see a rocket launch, a day at Disney and a Peter Bence concert.
We took advantage of Jimmy’s finish gear and the pond just out in the back, and filmed a documentary about the Homo piscatoris.
