While Everett was (trying to) nap with mom upstairs, I was trying to keep Sierra downstairs in the basement so that he wouldn’t wake up the tired little boy. We eventually made it over to the keyboard where Sierra explored the various settings of the instrument. Then she looked at her bellybutton for some reason, and then made the sign language “where?” She only started doing this in the last couple of days. We definitely made this hand gesturing with Everett when he was younger, but not so much Sierra but she seems to have picked up somewhere.
From music point of view, Everett used to like plunking around on the piano, but not so much recently. He might sit around to find middle C, or perhaps E, but that’s about it. Maybe it’s just an age thing. Sierra is more into coming around and pressing on the keys, and then banging on the keys with her hand. I think overall, it seems like Sierra is more into the piano of the two kids right now.
