Everett and Sierra’s first musical! The Whit-Kenzies and us went to see our first musical play today featuring the Bubble Guppies, a little show about these underwater mer-people. When Everett was younger, he like the books briefly, but then we moved on to Paw Patrols. Sierra was entranced by the going-ons on stage, but Everett didn’t have a good of a time.
The “host” of the show was the lobster, but probably because he looked strange and was loud, Everett started crying. He thought the lobster was scary and I had to hold him for pretty much the entire show. He didn’t sit beside Maebyn in his own chair, nor with mom. But when we told him that the lobster was funny, he started saying it too as if trying to convince himself, but not successfully.
It was better when the rest of the Bubble Guppies came on stage for their part of the play and singing though. He started getting interested in that, but kept close to me.
