This trip was highly anticipated for a number of reasons. First, it was a welcome break from the pandemic – our first international trip since the pandemic began. It was also a getaway after getting destroyed on call earlier in the month due to the fourth wave in Alberta. It was also a trip that Shannon and I took without the kids, and also to get some work done, taking courses in cruising and seeing all the boat show gear from the perspective of soon to be cruisers. And of course, we were excited to lay eyes on the Leopard 45.
In addition to all of the above, the trip exceeded our expectations as we met a great network of people who were also passionate about sailing and cruising.
