When drawing up a card for say my birthday or Father’s Day, or even just some random day, the Beans think up of things they like doing with me.
Just this spring, Everett and I started playing chess. We broke out the chess set that yeh-yeh got Everett for Christmas and learned how the pieces moved and the rules of the game. Everett took on to it quickly and actually liked playing a lot. He moved on to Chinese chess first. We started off with an iPad version, but then I ordered a nice set for him from Amazon and he loved it!
Here it appears that both Everett and daddy are happy. And we are playing ball.
The left one is Everett’s drawing, this time he has the ball. On the right, it looks like daddy (blue color, but mainly because of the short hair) is playing ball with Sierra, a shorter pink girl with long hair and a triangle dress.
This portrait of daddy depicts Sierra’s latest form of drawing people. There is much emphasis on eye color. Girls and women have eye lashes, so daddy doesn’t have these. I also have short hair.
This one is probably my favorite – a compilation from my Bean. I’m not sure what we’re doing on the title page but we both have big smiles. We having fun playing ball and catch once again, and on the back we’re doing stunts on circus bikes!
