Dark Light

What a year – but we made it to Christmas! At the same time, it seems both a very long ago and just recently that COVID-19 hit us here at around March, followed by the bouts of coronovirus waves and isolation lock downs.

Everett and Sierra were great kids overall. There were times when we felt cooped up in the house, but all of us managed to keep busy, and the children adapted well. Sierra continues to “do her own thing” and play well independently. She still has a tough time with TV and shutting off Netflix will lead to her brain melting down. Everett needs more parental input, but in the last few months, the two kids have finally started to play together, their favorite game being “family.” Everett has also moved on from being obsessed with Pokemon to Bakugan (very briefly) and is not entrenched with BeyBlades. He and his friend Eli battles over the iPad.

Edward took up the bass guitar at the beginning of the year and made a couple of music videos forcing the kids to sing. He built an insane computer for video editing, but then also got sidetracked playing computer games with the super computer. Shannon did pretty much all of the Christmas preparations and shopping (while Edward worked… and played video games). Here’s the culmination of all the work!
