Dark Light

Can you believe it? It’s been six weeks since Canada shut down due to coronovirus and the world has changed. We have been essentially self isolating which meant staying inside our house the whole time (Edward went to work and get groceries). But now the weather has improved and spring is finally upon us with no further snow in the forecast.

Our neighborhood has released the kids and to be honest, the social distancing from the kid perspective has been lax. It has almost been a daily affair where we take the kids out on a bike ride. Everett, Harrison and Eli have found this “secret” tree that they love to climb in Southbrook. The younger sisters sit in the bike seat behind the moms.

We’ve cleaned out the garage and washed the winter dirt off the floors. We’ve sold the bike Chariot carrier that we probably won’t use anymore since Sierra in the span of three days graduated to a two wheel bike without training wheels. Daddy got a bike stand, cleaned several of our bikes, degreased and tuned the gears. Daddy’s old bike which he was thinking of just ditching is restored with two new tires and a tune up. Yike, the gears were way out of alignment!

Daddy has also done some videoing, and is excitedly putting together a multi-cam song that the family has all taken part in. He want to add a bass track, but his bass skills are not that good yet.

We were supposed to have come back from our Legoland – Disney Cruise trip today, but of course, we were stuck at home instead, but I think everyone (maybe except for mom) didn’t mind. The kids absolutely love staying home and are playing quite well together. Daddy tries to find time for all of his hobbies as well as squeeze in the occasional Amazon Prime Video movie. Mom is baking and wants a new bike (to keep up with the Jonese ha!).

Here’s a quick video of our week:
