It had been quite amazing how quickly Paw Patrol was ditched for newer and better toys (and TV shows). Almost overnight, Everett lost interest in the Paw Patrol franchise which much have completely occupied his mind for the last year and half.
He moved on to liking Transformers, and dinosaurs. And what would be better than the two combined together? This is Chase, no not the Paw Patrol pup, but the Police-Bot whose dino-mode is a stegosaurus. This of course happens to be Everett’s favorite dinosaur.
We had taken the kids to the Calgary zoo and watched as Everett soaked up all dinosaur knowledge. He loved dinosaur books that we got from the library and even managed to find some old documentary on Netflix that he enjoyed. He would tell me things like how stegosauruses and triceratops ate plants, and then proceed to eat plants himself at dinner. Sometimes stegosauruses would be illustrated without spikes on its tail, and Everett would pick that up and say that that was not a stegosaurus.
A few months after, dinosaur books were replaced by superhero books. Initially he liked a few Batman and Superman / DC Comics books, but this was overtaken by the Marvel superheros the Avengers. I think they just have a better franchise. Maybe there are more cartoons on Netflix that Everett has found.
Everett got an early Halloween costume and loved it. Here he is having hoot trying it on, and testing out the suit’s repulsors. Later, we made a Captain America shield and swatted bad guys with it. Sierra joined in with her shield too!
