We had a whole day of quality time with daddy today. I had big plans to go to the park with the kids, but right now we are in the middle of the melt and all of the playgrounds are swamps. Everett experienced that first hand when he didn’t listen and sloshed into one of the puddles and got his boots are wet.
We had breakfast as usual, dropped off a donation at Value Village, went to Home Depot, and then visited Tommy Gun’s for a hair trim. I decided to brave the barber with the two kids as Everett’s hair was getting quite long. It didn’t turn out too badly. Everyone in me to sit with him of course, but I couldn’t because I was holding Sierra. He cried at first, but once he got into the cartoon and he realized that the haircutting wasn’t hurting him, then there weren’t any problems.
I didn’t get to synchronize their naps, so Sierra had a nap first, followed by lunch, and then Everett had a nap while we went out driving.
