After a long week on nephro, with me being sick, and crazy social issues and dealing with personality disorders, I finally got a day off on the Tuesday after the long weekend. We went out to the Dawe center for a swim because the Collicut was closed for a month. They’ve renovated the Dawe since I’ve last swam there back in the day. A whole new section with two water slides has been added. The main lap pool is still recognizable, but the nice warm kids area has been completely redone. I liked the older one better – there was the shallow perimeter for babies to crawl in with the slide in the center. Now it’s just one big open pool with a big slide from the deck. The lights are a cool white instead of the orange incandescents. Oddly, I think they kept the ceiling and sound dampening panels.
