Building Excitement

The house looks great! I imagined having a house party, how all of our friends would be in the kitchen – dining – great room. I’m picturing where the piano goes, how the stone will look on the fireplace as I walk down the staircase, how the railings will feel. I went specifically to look at the light switch to our master bedroom closet. The door doesn’t open the correct way now that we’ve decided how the shelving was supposed to go in. If we switched the door swing, the light switch would be in the wrong position. Could we re-wire the switch to the other side of the door, or on the outside wall of the closet, or do we rig something up with a sensor and Control4 integration? I went down into the mechanical room and marveled at all the tubing and electrical. I’m glad the people wiring the place knows what they’re doing. The override switches were installed and the steam humidifier is hooked up. It is going to be incredible flicking the switch on and having everything operational.
